If you scroll through my pouty photos on Instagram, you can clearly see I am not very subtle when it comes to my make-up look. From false lashes to bronzed cheeks, I have always loved a complete make-up routine. So as you can imagine, a lip balm rarely enters my make-up bag or my make-up ritual - that is until Dr.PAWPAW released the Rich Mocha Balm*. I have always been a big fan of the Dr.PAWPAW range because the products are so easy to use and they have so many different uses from a lip balm, cuticle balm and cheek tint.
The Rich Mocha Balm feels like it was created just for my lips, I have never found a lip balm that has a warm, brown pigment which is flattering to my skin tone and is also amazing at keeping my lips soft and smooth. The formula is like a lip balm but the pigment is similar to a rich lipstick. You can control how intense you would like the colour by layering and it is ideal if you are running out of the house and you really need a subtle top up or on the flip side, if you have an event and you want to make a dramatic lip statement.
As you can see from my swatch, the formula is rich, glossy and best of all, very buildable. I'm really impressed that you have the option of creating a subtle hint of colour or you can create an extreme dark lip. Now that Sofia is my partner in crime, it can be tricky to spend my time applying make-up so grabbing the balm for a quick top up is my new favourite routine. Dr.PAWPAW also have a lip scrub that would be ideal for prepping your lips if they are feeling slightly dry in the winter weather.

Like the rest of the Dr.PAWPAW balms, it doesn't feel sticky and you can use your finger to apply it or you can use it directly from the tube.
Overall, I am absolutely loving the Rich Mocha shade, it is easy to wear and such a gorgeous brown shade. If you want to try a different shade, Dr.PAWPAW also have Hot Pink and Outrageous Orange in their collection. You can have a peek at the online store here. What do you think of lip balms, do you prefer a classic balm or do you like a hint of colour like me? Let me know what your favourite shade is ♥
This shade looks really pretty and the formula sounds wonderful as well. So glad you are loving this product!
