current beauty favourites #02 ♥

I never get tired of writing about my favourite beauty products, I love testing and trying anything when it comes to the beauty world so I love updating this blog post. I can be quite predictable when it comes to make-up because I always play it safe when it comes to shades, it is very rare if I’m not wearing full coverage foundation, lashes, nude lips or brown eye shadows and I've probably typed that on my blog countless times. That being said, I was lucky enough to attend the A/W holiday press event for Stila a few months ago and I was kindly gifted a few products from the collection.

Because I am very predictable when it comes to my make-up routine, I was really impressed how much I fell in love with the Stila Hide and Chic foundation*. We all know I don't usually wear lightweight products, I am a big fan of the heavy glam look but the Hide and Chic foundation has a beautiful light formula that lets your skin breath but it also provides flawless coverage. It makes my skin glow and I love how easy the foundation blends into your skin. I can only describe it as confidence in a bottle.

The next product I am really loving at the moment is another Stila gem. The Suede Shade™ Liquid Eye Shadow* is definitely my new beauty essential. I fell in love with the shade Bust a Mauve instantly, the colour is certainly a favourite choice when it comes to my eye shadow routine but I usually wear powder shadows. This velvety-matte formula is incredibly easy to apply and the pigmentation is very rich, you can blend using your fingers but I prefer using a fluffy eye shadow to blend into my crease to create my regular smokey eye look. Because the formula is a liquid, you don't have to worry about any fall out - definitely a big plus for me.

My final favourite eye product is from Primark, I have always been impressed with the Primark Beauty range, especially because the dupes are always brilliant. My latest purchase was actually a mascara, I can be a nightmare when it comes to using mascara because my lashes just don't work well with bristle style wands. I have to use a comb style mascara wand otherwise my lashes look invisible. That being said, 90% of the time I am wearing false lashes but when I want to add definition to my bottom lashes, the Primark False Affair mascara works very well. The brush catches every single lash and it just gives you amazing volume - it is pretty amazing for £2.50.
I can't do a beauty favourite post without including one of my favourite highlighters of all time, the High Definition Glow Stick in the shade Champagne*. I posted my review on the High Definition sticks a few years ago when they were first launched and I still haven't found a better highlighter. It creates a beautiful shimmer and it is incredibly buildable, you can decide how intense you would like to apply the stick. Now when it comes to fragrance, I have been wearing the Thierry Mugler Alien perfume for years, it is one of the first luxury perfumes I wore and it is still one of my favourite scents, even years later.

This perfume is actually part of a gift set that Zak bought me for Christmas, it includes a candle which smells divine. If you haven't tried Alien yet, the top notes include Jasmine and the base note is Amber. This will always be one of my favourite fragrances, no matter how many years go by. The next product I am loving is the Yardley English Dahlia Luxury Body Wash* - if you can't tell by now product scents are very important for me and this particular body wash smells like heaven in a bottle. It contains vitamin E and is designed to cleanse and hydrate your skin. I add a small amount to my bath as well as using it in the shower just because it smells that incredible.

Last but certainly not least, we have the Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle* - I mentioned this moisturiser in my bath time ritual post but I think it needed to be included in this post. It is such a life saver if you don't have time to moisturise, I love how quick and easy it is to apply to wet skin and the scent reminds me of holidays in the sun. It hydrates your skin effortlessly and I love that you don't have to wait until you dry yourself after getting out of the shower. So there we have it, my current beauty favourites. What products have you tried from my picks? Let me know what you have added to your wish list
