99% of the time I would be constantly applying powder throughout the day, I usually try to avoid any shine on my face but lately, I am obsessed with the glossy, bronzed beach look, which requires not as much powder. Having extreme highlight on my cheekbones is my new obsession and I am always on the lookout for that special product that gives me intense shine and a fabulous glow. I'm actually loving the fresh, dewy look at the moment and its nice to add a pop of shimmer into your beauty routine. With my trip to Alicante right around the corner, I have been looking for that 'Instagram worthy' highlighter while I enjoy the hot weather.
While I have been on my highlighter search and find mission, I was contacted by one of my favourite beauty brands, High Definition (formerly known as HD Brows). They kindly sent me a package filled with their stick based products and I was certainly in for a pleasant surprise. So for today's post, I wanted to review the quality of the products and talk about my first impressions and share some swatches with you. When it came to using the Glow Sticks, I have previously only used pressed powder highlights so I wasn't too sure how to apply the cream based formula.
The Glow Sticks have a thick, creamy formula that you can control and blend how you like, I actually gently ran the Champagne Gold shade on my cheekbone and I patted this into my skin with a dry beauty blender. Out of all of the sticks that I tested, I was amazed at the Champagne Gold Glow Stick, the pigment is out of this world and I can hold my hands up and say that without a doubt, this is one of the best highlighters I have ever used. Not only does the incredible pigmentation speak for itself but the high shine colour lasts for hours without having to constantly reapply.
I have been using the Glow Stick on my cheeks, cupids bow, nose and around my tear ducts. For the Sculpting sticks, the formula is very similar, it is beautiful and creamy which makes it easy if you struggle with blending out a cream contour, like I do, especially when I'm not a professional when it comes to using make-up. The Rose Gold Glow Stick is a great shade if you want a slightly warmer highlighter tone, my sister has an olive skin tone so this highlighter is her match made in heaven but if you want a brighter, bolder look, the Champagne Gold shade is a great choice.
I love that the Glow Stick formulas are highly pigmented and the colour appears straight away with just a tiny amount of product and I think it is very clever that you have to build the amount of depth and intensity with the Sculpting Sticks. You are in total control with how defined you want your contour to look and personally, I don't want overly pigmented contour products that are too intense from just one swipe onto your skin, I think a great contour product is something that can be layered and adjusted.

Last but not least, we have the Sun Stick, when I first opened this product I was not sure whether it was a contour stick for a lighter complexion. After reading details online, the Sun Stick can actually be used for contouring or as a cream bronzer for your face. Personally, I haven't used a cream bronzer in a stick formula before but I loved testing this out. I applied this evening to my forehead, chin and neck area and this created a healthy, warm glow.
The HD Brows website is actually having a sale on right now with up to 50% off the range. You can see the sale section here. Overall, if I had to pick one product from the three, it would have to be the Glow Stick, this is my favourite beauty product to use right now and I am honestly blown away by the flawless results. What do you think of the HD Brows make-up range? Are you a fan of intense highlighter or do you prefer just using a blusher by itself? I hope you enjoyed this review, if you have any questions, let me know ♥
