lola christmas cracker ♥

The Christmas Grinch has arrived ready for the festive season and when I say The Grinch, I mean...me. Yes, even at 28 years old, I am still a big grouch when December arrives and this year is no exception. Don’t get me wrong, I love the food and my sparkly Christmas tree but I can’t help but feel extra grouchy with the same routine. The only thing that does excite me are the festive outfits and dazzling make-up looks that appear. There is something really exciting about people getting dressed up for their office Christmas party or having a festive catch up with the girls. It is almost expected and applauded when sequins and sparkles are added to everyone’s routine - especially your make-up bag.

This is also the time that I put down my nude lipstick and I reach for a deep, festive red shade. Yes, party season make-up is definitely a Christmas perk for me and for today’s post I wanted to talk about the LOLA make-up range that will get you in the party mood. I was kindly sent a few products from the range to test out and I have to say, The LOLA Red Cracker* is certainly a pleasant surprise. Whether you are looking for gift ideas or something to treat yourself this Christmas, the Red Cracker is a party make-up essential. The cracker includes a nail polish in the 004 Classic Red shade, a black eyeliner called the Automatic Pencil 001 Black and a Chubby Cream in the shade 003 Pomegranate. This is all you need to switch up your beauty routine without being too complicated or technical. If you want to skip the glitz and glitter pots this year, a red lipstick is a simple tool for dramatically changing your make-up routine. I found the Chubby Cream stick very easy to apply and the formula is incredibly creamy. I didn't even use a lip liner. I wore my green velvet dress from Femme Luxe and even though I was shamelessly posing in front of my Christmas tree, the red lips gave my look an instant festive pick me up.I’m really impressed with the quality of the products from the cracker and the subtle blue tone of the Chubby Cream stick is very flattering against my skin tone. If you are looking for a stocking filler or a nice, little treat for yourself - the LOLA Red Cracker is easy and simple to use. They also have a pink version of the cracker in case you prefer a softer version of the products. What do you think of Christmas make-up? Are you a fan of classic red lips or do you need added sparkle? Let me know what your plans are for the holiday season!
