Red Vinyl Crop Top and Leggings - Katch Me*   |   Faux Fur Coat - H&M

When I was asked to pick an outfit from Katch Me this month, I was immediately drawn to this vinyl set. We all know I am obsessed with the PU trend and with Halloween right around the corner, I just couldn’t resist adding this set to my basket. I ordered this set two sizes up because I wanted the crop top to fit perfectly and when the set arrived, it did fit like a glove. I could have sized down in the leggings but you can easily pin them around the waist area. The vivid red is ideal for fancy dress and I wanted to pair this outfit with my new faux fur coat to really add an extra ‘wow’ factor.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, this outfit is a great place to start. I’ve actually ordered leather devil horns for my Halloween photos and I will be wearing this outfit with Sofia for our joint Halloween photos this year, another option would be a witch with a red hat, Cruella de Ville - the options are endless. A PU set is a great starting point for any upcoming Halloween parties if you don’t want to wear anything too out of your comfort zone like bodysuits or lingerie, although I am determined to wear a lingerie Halloween costume one year! If you wanted to find a way to tone this outfit down, and make it wearable for everyday, I would grab a pair of black over the knee boots and a plain, black trench coat. Swapping the red crop top for a black bodysuit is a great way to tone down the leggings and the pop of red will still look amazing. I know it can be tricky to wear the PU trend, especially when the colour is so bold but I would certainly wear this set together, especially if I was planning a big girls night out. I added a pair of black PU sandal heels for a subtle way to complete this look but I think clear perspex heels would also work really well. What do you think of the vinyl trend?
