White Co-Ord Set - Boohoo |
I always find it strange writing about bright,
summery outfits when its miserable and drizzly outside. After weeks of hot,
humid weather the rain has finally returned to London and I am back to my usual
routine of forgetting my umbrella. Last week I headed to the Victoria and
Albert Museum and I had a little photo session by the entrance - the marble
design is just perfection and I loved the contrast with my outfit. This Boohoo
number is my new favourite outfit for the summer weather and I quite like that I'm wearing a casual outfit for a change.
I originally ordered this outfit from Boohoo because I needed a medium length white skirt to wear underneath a new pink blazer, (I'll be sharing an outfit post with the blazer this week), I ordered a pink blazer from River Island but I thought I needed a skirt to wear underneath it. I found this skirt online and I just loved the length, the fabric and when it arrived, I loved that it had a matching top. Can I just state the obvious here - I find it very difficult to buy white clothes online. 99% of the time the quality can be very poor and the fabric can sometimes be quite sheer.
I was so impressed with the thickness and quality of this co-ord set because you couldn't see my underwear when I tried it on and the skirt and top fit me perfectly. I am very wary of my stomach area so I was surprised how comfortable I felt wearing this crop top and skirt. I didn't want to feel super tight in this outfit so I ordered a size 8 instead. I actually prefer wearing this outfit with sandals but a pair of stiletto heels will really dress this outfit up if you want a dinner outfit.
For accessories I grabbed this pale pink Vivienne Westwood cross body bag from Lydia. I love the chunky, silver chain straps and I quite like that this clashes with my gold chain necklaces. Overall, this is a great outfit if you want something simple, easy to wear and if you aren't comfortable with just wearing a blazer, you can wear this co-ord set underneath. I'm heading out to dinner with the girls tomorrow night so I will be grabbing this outfit and trying not to spill any food on the skirt. What are your plans for this weekend? ♥
You look very beautiful and classy rocking that Boohoo coordinated pencil skirt and crop=top set! You are obviously in amazing shape. The marble of the Victoria and Albert Museum made a lovely backdrop for your outfit photos.
