For today's blog post, I finally get a chance to wear my leopard print boots for an outfit post. I have been dying to properly shoot them and I also get to wear them with this gorgeous satin dress from Elvi. Last month I created another Elvi outfit post here and I think both outfits are perfect for the autumn season. We have a lot to talk about with this outfit and how I will be styling this dress for the colder weather. I will be shooting a separate post focusing on the Kiko Bright Quartet palette* in the shade 01 Warm Natural Tones but I thought it would be nice to take some posed photos with it first.
As you can see, the colours are incredible and they are perfect for the new autumn season. I usually stick to smokey brown shades but I love that the Kiko palette includes warm copper tones which also matches this cami dress. Not only did I wear the copper tone on my eye lids but I also applied a small amount under my bottom lash line, of course it was easy to blend like all Kiko eyeshadows. We all know I am Kiko obsessed! Moving onto the outfit, this dress actually arrived with matching trousers but I thought for this particular blog post, the dress would really suit my Kurt Geiger leopard print boots. I have been dying to wear them in a blog post.
Ollie bought the boots for me last year for a Christmas present and I am really surprised how comfortable they are. They are definitely my favourite boots and I am pretty glad they can return to my main wardrobe now that the summer has ended. I usually just wear them with black but I think this Elvis dress is a great colour to keep this look neutral and not too bold. I think it helps that the dress is not skin tight or too fitted because it looks slightly more elegant and also suitable for a dinner.
I have tried wearing these boots with fitted dresses and it can be a little overbearing so I think the Elvi dress is a great balance. Now that I have added a leopard print pair to my wardrobe, I am now on the hunt for snake print boots. If you see any online, do let me know.On the accessory side of things, I am wearing two beautiful rings from The Diamond Store* - I was kindly lent the rings for this shoot and I am loving the bold blue and silver contrast. I love that the rings clash with the warm copper dress and nude leopard print boots. I am definitely warming up to silver jewellery now.
I've been looking at quite a few photos from London and Paris Fashion Week and I think leopard print will always be popular, whether you want to wear it in the summer time in the form of a maxi dress or if you want a faux fur coat for the colder seasons. If you are looking to smarten up this dress, swap the leopard print boots for the matching copper trousers and grab a pair of nude patent stilettos. What do you think of this outfit? Are you a fan of wearing leopard print like me? Let me know if you want me to style more outfits for the autumn season and if you want smarter/casual outfits on Fairytale Kiss ♥
Those boots are seriously stunning! I love them.
