the leather trench coat ♥

Well this might be one of my favourite outfits to date. Have I stepped out from The Matrix film set? Maybe. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't stress enough how much I am struggling to dress myself now that my little bump is growing everyday. I do need to spend some time finding maternity outfits but in the meantime I am grabbing my baggy t-shirts and zip friendly skirts. I don't believe I have shot a focused blog post about this trench coat and I am still pinching myself that I found the leather coat for £20 at a market fair.
Yes, it is slightly big on me but you can hardly notice, if anything it is even more comfortable now that I'm pregnant. I also need to address my hair. It is very rare that I have a different hairstyle, especially when it comes to blog photos. Over the past few years, I feel that a straight, middle parting and straightened hair is my signature style. I have said time and time again that I am not a model, I just love sharing my favourite outfits but this can be tricky when you are posing for photos.
I feel much more comfortable with my hair in a middle parting but it was a nice change to create this hairstyle. To create this look, I clipped in some hair extensions, I've been using the Hair Sisters 22 inch clip in's, and I section the front part of my hair and pinned with a clip. I then brushed through with a thin comb and I used a black, thin hairband to secure the top section. It took me a few attempts to get the top part of my hair smooth, I think this is the key to the look.
I used hair pins to keep everything neat and tidy(ish) and finally, I used L'Oreal Professional Infinium Hairspray to set the look. I am not usually a T-shirt fan but I think a classic white T-shirt is a great way to dress down an outfit. A vinyl mini skirt and black leather trench coat can be slightly bold but wearing a T-shirt with this look will make it more wearable and easier to style. After 5 minutes of wearing this T-shirt, I managed to get foundation all around the collar area, typical.
Foundation marks aside, this really is one of my favourite looks. The 'Sandy from Grease' style heels also complete this outfit for me. I think the peep toe mules are the cherry on top for this look, you can find a similar pair of mules here. They really remind me of the Hadid's and Jenner's for some reason and I think next time I will be adding a few ankle bracelets. What do you think of this outfit? Are you a fan of vinyl and leather together? I would love to know how you would style a long, black leather trench coat. ♥
