Let's start with mascara. The mascaras were certainly not what I expected. First of all, I thought all three of the products above were mascaras but in fact, the silver product in the middle is actually a lash primer. The Fake It Lash Primer is probably one of my favourite products from the range, if you usually wear false lashes like me, lash primer is my must have when I am just wearing mascara. I have always struggled with my lashes, they are not long or thick and this is why I feel more confident wearing false lashes. That being said, a lash primer is an amazing tool that gives your mascara extra support. This particular lash primer is simple and easy to use, it makes your lashes look fuller without looking clumpy.
Now the real shining star from new SS18 GOSH range is the Turn Me On Mascara*. Although not everyone is fan of beauty trends and gimmicks, one thing we can all agree on is that GOSH produce unique beauty products at a very affordable price. If you don't fancy spending £30 on the latest, groundbreaking mascara, then £8.99 is pretty great price point for a mascara that vibrates. It was quite strange using this mascara for the first time, this is first vibrating mascara I have ever used and I love that the wand has three different levels of vibration. It coats your lashes evenly and it even catches your short lashes.
For lips, the SS18 collection really spoils you. The Lip Oils are my favourite from the new collection because they are perfect for creating a "glossy, sun kissed" look. The lip oils are incredibly conditioning and they make the perfect partner for an intense highlighter on your cupids bow and cheekbones. As you can see from my swatches, the shades are very pigmented and they each have a different formula.
Usually I only use pen style liquid liners because I am awful at using liquid liners that require the pot and brush but GOSH have managed to make this particular liquid liner suitable for any skill level. The slanted applicator makes application very easy and best of all, you can create a thick line or a thin line depending on your style. As you can see from my swatch, the brush is capable of creating different types of thickness, the tip makes a big difference and this liner is lasting a lot longer than my usual pen liner!
The GOSH Foundation Plus Creamy Compact* is a dream come true for me. I love heavy, full coverage and when applied with a foundation brush, this foundation covers all your blemishes and lasts for hours. I never really use cream compacts but I was really impressed with how well this blended into my skin. A sponge is located underneath the compact but I personally like using a brush to apply the product but I then use the sponge to gently set it into my skin. This is another SS18 favourite of mine.
Although I wouldn't personally wear eyeliner in a turquoise shade, I know quite a few of my friends do. If you are on the hunt for a very high pigmented colour eyeliner, the Metal Eyes liner are fabulous. As you can see from the pictures, the lip liners and eyeliner shades are bold and incredibly rich. The texture of the Metal Eyes liner is ideal for blending on your eyelid which is great if you want to use the Metal range as a base for your eyeshadow or if you want to use the colour by itself - this is a very soft and creamy formula.
Overall, I love how unique the SS18 collection is, from vibrating mascaras to glittery lip oils, I think GOSH have really pushed the boat out for creating exciting and different products. I cannot rave enough about how affordable GOSH is and let's be honest, brands are bringing out new beauty tools everyday so it is refreshing to know that you can buy GOSH products without breaking your bank card.
