the rose gold beach dress ♥

Rose Pink Beach Dress - Light in the Box*
For today's blog post I wanted to do something slightly different. We all know my guilty pleasure is to watch The Wendy Williams chat show and I thought it would be fun to write a casual Q&A blog series about my advice about different topics and my favourite films/books/beauty products for this particular week. If you want a really detailed Q&A, I actually filmed one for my Youtube channel last year. Now I was kindly sent this rose gold beach dress and I really had fun trying to shoot these photos when I visited Alicante last month.
I have always loved wearing textured clothes, whether they are covered in sequins or glitter - I love wearing bold outfits and blogging is a great way to create different looks for photos. I was kindly sent this beautiful pink beach dress to style and the timing was perfect because I was flying out to Alicante so it certainly matched the beach vibe theme. I've seen a few photos on Instagram where girls have styled this is an evening dress with a bodysuit underneath but I am not brave enough to try this.
I wore a simple bandeau bikini underneath and I think the beach dress suited my body shape perfectly. Even in the boiling hot heat, the dress feels very cool and I think the high neck design is really flattering. Now for today's Q&A post, I wanted to start with 'What have you been up to recently?' and I actually have some exciting news - I will be moving into Ollie's flat next month! We will officially be living together and I am really looking forward to making the flat into a home. I have also started watching The Saproanos this month so hopefully we will stick to the series.
Book wise, I have started to read American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, I am a huge fan of the 2000 film starring Christian Bale so I hope the book has the same dark, twisted sense of humour. What new films have you been watching? Ollie and I recently went to the cinema to watch Mission Impossible and it was pretty awful. Don't get me wrong, Tom Cruise was amazing but the over the top stunts and effects were really poor. I watched Interview with the Vampire a few weeks ago and it is still one of my favourites, if you are a fan of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, this film is ideal.
On the blogging side of things, I have shot some really nice outfit posts in central London but I am heading to a country house this Sunday to shoot a few new items, this will be quite autumn focused so I'm looking forward to it. On the beauty side of things, I am testing out new skin care products that are cruelty free. I am planning on writing a big blog post about how I review and test beauty products and I have been spending the past few days researching the brands that do test on animals. 80% of the brands I use are cruelty free but I will be explaining why I am researching this next week. So I think we are pretty much up to date with everything. I hope you enjoyed this chatty blog post. What do you think of beach dresses, are you a fan? ♥

  2. That pink dress looks extremely pretty being worn by you over the bandeau bikini! You look gorgeous.
I haven't been to the cinema in ages. The most recent film I watched was Barely Lethal on NetFlix - kind of a silly weird fun teenage action adventure comedy and romance movie.
That's great that you are using some cruelty free beauty products.
I love the look of that beach dress.
