love yourself juice cleanse ♥

I don’t know about you, but I reached a point during lockdown where I actually got fed up of being in a food coma all of the time. Stress, boredom and my love of junk food is a very dangerous combination and I was snacking just for the sake of it. My portion sizes have been ridiculous and my vegetables and fruit intake had taken a backseat. Not only had my energy levels been low but overall, I just felt sluggish and tired all of the time. Unfortunately for me, lockdown sprang into action earlier in the year so this put a serious pause on my regular gym routine and while I was pregnant I literally ate everything in sight and my diet just hasn’t improved since. I have tried to change my diet but I have had trouble sticking to it.
So I was very excited when the PR team for Love Yourself contacted me again about the Love Yourself Juice Cleanse*. You may remember that I reviewed the pescatarian dishes from the Love Yourself menu in May, you can read my full review here*. If you haven’t heard of Love Yourself, they provide high quality, healthy dishes straight to your door, which is pretty handy if you can’t travel outside due to the coronavirus lockdown right now. The service is ideal if you want to kickstart your diet or if you just fancy a break from the kitchen. I was so excited to trial the juice menu because it sounded like the perfect kickstarter to reshuffle my current diet.
The Love Yourself team kindly sent me three days from the juice cleanse menu to try out. A delivery driver arrived every evening to provide me with five freshly prepared juices. Not only has the juice cleanse given me a wake up call and made me realise how much I over snack, but it has given me the kickstart I need to restart my fitness routine and healthy lifestyle. I don’t like the word ‘diet’ anymore because I just don’t stick to it for long, I now understand it needs to be a long term, lifestyle change and I think the juice cleanse is a great way to kickstart this. I had three days worth of juices delivered to my door, they were freshly prepared and I was sent updates regularly about the delivery status.
On the Love Yourself website you can see the menu for the different juices, I tried the day 1, day 2 and day 4 menu and each day included one morning shoot, three press juices and one smoothie for dinner. I know it sounds daunting to just drink liquids for three days straight but I was really surprised how well I stuck to the juicing schedule. The juices were absolutely delicious and I love how much variety is included in the menu. The Coco-Pine juice is a firm favourite, it tasted like a Pina colada and it was really refreshing. The morning shots are 60ml and the juices are a hefty 250ml. Overall, I have been blown away by this juicing experience.
I have always wanted to try a juice detox and I can see why people rave about them, yes it may not be for everyone but after my recent diet, it felt amazing to give my body a break and give it a much needed cleanse. Not only did my stomach feel less bloated but I felt like I had more energy. I love the variety of flavours on the menu and I think the process of ordering and receiving the juices is super easy and hassle free. I honestly can't rave about this experience enough, if you are looking to try something new and want to reflect on your current diet, the juice cleanse will be right up your street.  Let me know what you think of the juice cleanse menu, what day would you like to try? ♥
