current beauty favourites ♥

I thought it was time to do a quick round up of my current beauty favourites. Some of my picks are luxury and slightly splurge worthy while others are very affordable and certainly staple items. It has been a while since I sat down and really looked in my bathroom cabinet. I’ve been living with Ollie for just over a year now and I’ll be honest, with Sofia arriving slightly earlier than expected, I still haven’t properly unpacked all of my beauty and hair products and organised that part of the flat.
Don’t get me wrong, they are happily sitting in a few cabinets and wardrobes but I haven’t really organised everything so it can be hard to remember where I’ve placed what. So after rummaging around in October for my Morticia Addams photo, I found one of my favourite liquid red lipsticks from KIKO Milano. The shade is 03 Rossetto* and the pigmentation is just out of this world. With the Christmas season here, I don’t think you need anything else but a dash of red to complete your festive vibe. Sadly, this shade is now discontinued but you can find a pretty identical match with the Party All Night Metallic Lip Paint in shade 03 Christmas Kiss.
The Blank Canvas Master Series Eyeshadow palette has always been a must have in my make-up bag, I have been using this palette for quite a few years now and I have repurchased it after my favourite shades have been used. As you can see, Carmin, Downtown and Cocoa are very popular. I think this palette is perfect for evening or daytime wear and I always use the palette for both. I’ll add an extra sweep of Hickory to my crease if I want a sprinkle of drama for the evening or I’ll skip this shade if I’m just running errands during the day.
It really is a beautiful, wearable palette and the warm, red tones are simply divine. The Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture nail polish has been in my collection for a good few years now, it is usually my go to shade for my toenails if I can’t find a classic black shade. Prune Minimale 07 is dark enough but it has a delightful 90’s grunge twist that makes this deep, brown shade one of my favourite nail polishes. Not only is the packaging classic and beautiful but the quality of YSL nail polishes are really worth the investment.
Of course I had to include my Dr.PAWPAW Multi purpose balm*, the Rich Mocha shade is a firm favourite for me and I love grabbing this when I need to run out of the flat. I recently did a detailed review on the balm here, if you are looking for a multi tasking wonder, this particular shade is perfect. Fragrance wise, I have been wearing the Hermes L'Ambre des Merveilles Eau de Parfum. Yes, that is quite a mouthful. This fragrance is a sweet combination of vanilla and amber notes, this fragrance was created in 2004 and I am addicted to the warm and rich scent.
There are no floral tones in this fragrance so if you aren’t a big fan of traditional rose or lavender perfumes, this particular is certainly worth trying out. I love the tilted bottle design and the gold packaging looks beautiful on my dressing table right now. This particular perfume is 50ml. So there we have a few of my favourite products, I think this post is suitable for the festive Christmas season or if you are looking for present ideas this December. Let me know what product is catching your eye and I’ll see you on my next blog post
