I can be very robotic when it comes to my skin routine. Primer, glow serum, concealer, full coverage foundation, pressed powder, bronzer, blusher and highlighter. You can certainly see that I am a fan of heavy duty make-up and to be honest, I just don’t feel confident enough to wear lighter skin make-up. That was until I was introduced to the Stila Hide & Chic Fluid Foundation*. When I first tried the Hide and Chic foundation I instantly thought of one word: glow.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the Stila A/W Holiday collection late last year and I was able to meet the head make-up artist from Stila, Sascha Jackson. She personally matched my foundation shade for me, (medium 2), and she also explained the real science behind the formula. You can read more about the event here. Now when it comes to applying the foundation, I always make sure to squeeze the lid carefully because the formula is very thin and lightweight so I just like to avoid any drops falling onto my bed sheets. Yes, I have a dressing table but I usually do my make-up in my bed. I’m practical as always...
When I first applied the foundation to my skin, I couldn't believe how lightweight the formula felt. It doesn't feel heavy or cakey and best of all, it made my skin look bright and radiant. I didn't need to apply any other face products because it made my skin look even-toned and healthy. I have never tried a foundation that has made my feel this comfortable and I love that I have a holiday glow without the actual holiday. Packaging wise, it goes without saying that the Stila range is simply stunning. The Hide and Chic foundation is no exception, I absolutely love the bottle design and for some reason, gold make-up products just make me happy.
It looks good in your make-up bag or on top of your dressing table and I simply adore how luxurious the bottle looks. Overall, if you don't have time to apply full coverage or if you love the 'no make-up, make-up look' then this foundation is your dream companion. It doesn't feel cakey on your skin but it still hides blemishes and uneven patches, but best of all, it makes your skin look incredibly radiant.
